Tinatin Tkemaladze

Prof. Tinatin (Tika) Tkemaladze is the head of the Department of Molecular and Medical Genetics at Tbilisi State Medical University (TSMU), as well as consultant clinical geneticist at several major pediatric hospitals in Tbilisi. Tika has special interest in inherited metabolic diseases presenting as childhood neurodevelopmental disorders and syndromes with dysmorphic features. She is the translator of several licensed textbooks in genetics into Georgian language and has publications at high-impact journals. Tika is a PI of the clinical study on biomarkers of rare diseases. Recently she was elected as a board member at European Society of Human Genetics (ESHG) and she also is a member of scientific-advisory board at FDNA. Tika is absolutely passionate on diagnosing patients with rare diseases and ending their diagnostic odyssey.
